snowdrop & spring snowflake - Yunabán the witch series

They are the messengers of spring: Snowdrops and spring snowflakes.
As soon as the snow starts to melt, these lovely white flowers start to blossom.
But even though they bloom, it will usually have some more snow: They have no problem with snow and freezing temperatures, even the blossoms are coolingresistant!

I think everybody knows the snowdrops but did you also know the spring snowflake? I actually didn't know its name even though they're now EVERYWHERE 🙈

For me, these two flowers perfectly show the close end of the winter and I'm always super excited seeing them around. They start to bloom in January, February and March, depending on the type and location.

These beautiful plants are poisonous, most of the toxins are in the tubers. As most poisonous plants, they're used in the pharma industry and in homeopathic remedies.

The snowdrops spread their seeds through ants: They collect the seeds, eat a part of it and so they spread them.
The seeds of the spring snowflakes spread through the wind.
