Chocolate treats - easy & vegan
If you know me then you know that I'm a bit addicted to chocolate. I would love to have some everyday. Usually I try not to have any chocolate at home so I don't eat any but it kinda makes me going crazy sometimes 😅
I needed to find a few recipes that aren't too unhealthy and still taste great. I just recently posted a recipe for these vanilla & chocolate energy bliss balls but I can't have the same treat every day, right? Those are also filling and packed with maca, they aren't an option as a dessert after dinner though.
The following recipe is free from refined sugar, vegan and glutenfree. You can fill the chocolate with what ever ingredients you like or make them plain chocolate. This recipe is also very high in cacao, if you don't like dark chocolate at all, you better make the vanilla & chocolate energy bliss balls :)
I also want to mention: These treats aren't healthy. They really are TREATS :)
They're also great if you just ran out of normal chocolate: The ingredients are super simple, everyone should have them on hand, and they're made very quickly.
Let's get started:
CHOCOLATE TREATS - EASY & VEGAN
Makes about 1 silicone ice cube mold
Ingredients
3 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
1/2 tsp vanilla bean powder
2-3 tbsp cacao
1 1/2 tsp date sauce or maple syrup
Filling options:
cashew butter
peanut butter
coconut milk (mix some with the chocolate)
amaranth or quinoa pops
nuts
shredded coconut
dates
Preparation
1. Add all ingredients from the first section into a bowl, stir very well.
2. Add about 1 tsp of the chocolate into the mold.
3. Put it into the fridge until it hardens.
4. Add your fillings. If you use nut butter, put it back to the fridge to harden.
5. Make another portion of the chocolate (first section).
6. Fill the mold and put it back into the fridge. It takes about 20 mins to harden.
I suggest to use very simple shaped molds. The stars might look fancy but I had a very hard time getting them out of the mold as a whole.
